AFFILIATE PROGRAM DETAILS
1. What is an affiliate?
An affiliate is a person who sends visitors to a particular website in exchange for a potential commission. The commission is earned when the visitors purchase a product or service on the website that they were directed to. For example, if you have a blog about world travel, you could help promote my Refuse the Rat Race guide to your readers (through a product review, placing a banner on your website, promoting the product to all of your Facebook / Twitter friends and followers, etc.). If a reader or visitor to your site clicks on your special affiliate link (which leads to the sales page for the Refuse the Rat Race Guide), and they then make a purchase, you’ll receive a commission as a result.
2. How do I become an affiliate?
The affiliate program at WanderingEarl.com is organized through e-Junkie.com, a popular and reputable eCommerce site that makes signing up to be an affiliate, as well as earning your commissions, unbelievably easy. All you need to do to start earning commissions is to click on the following link, register with e-Junkie and quickly create your profile. That’s all it takes. REGISTER HERE!
Once you sign up, you’ll receive your own "hop link" (a coded link that leads to our “Live a Life of Travel” Resources webpage) so that we can track sales made by the visitors you send to our site). All you need to do is copy this "hop link" and place it anywhere – on your website as a text link, in a product review, in emails, on your Facebook page, etc. Just make sure that you don’t change the actual code.
The only part of the link that you can change is the text at the end which is what visitors will actually see and click on. The default phrase is "Click here for more information…" but feel free to replace it with any word or phrase that you wish to use, or even replace it with a photo or image of one of the eBook covers. And then, every time someone clicks on that link and is re-directed to the “Live a Life of Travel” webpage, you’ll receive a commission if they purchase either the “Refuse the Rat Race” Guide or the “How To Work On A Cruise Ship” Guide. It’s that simple!
3. How much do I get paid?
For every sale that you generate, you will receive a 70% commission. For example, the “How To Work On A Cruise” Guide sells for $37 USD, so you’ll pocket a sweet $23.00 for every sale you send our way. Even a simple text link on your website could lead to a few hundred dollars or more of extra income per month. And who couldn’t use some extra cash?
4. When and how do I get paid?
Payments will be sent out via PayPal to all affiliates on the 5th of every month. For example, on August 5th, you will receive an email from PayPal indicating that the commissions you earned during the month of July, have been sent to the PayPal email address you specified upon signing up as an affiliate. Of course, you will need to have a PayPal account in order to receive your payments, but opening one is a very simple process if you don’t have one already. (PayPal)
I promise all affiliates that they will be paid on time, every time so the only thing you have to worry about is how to spend the money you earn! It is important to note that every order of our guides come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. As a result, if a customer who placed an order through one of your links asks for a refund during that 30-day period, you will not be paid the commission for that initial sale.
5. Are there any fees associated with being an affiliate?
Nope. It is completely free for you to sign up as an affiliate and you will not be charged any fees at any time by anyone. Whatever you earn through the sales you help generate is the same amount that will be sent to your PayPal account every month.
6. How do I promote your guides?
Any number of ways. As stated above, you can simply write a product review, add a text link or promote the guide via any social networking sites that you may use. In addition, if you wish to use any banners or eBook cover images displayed on WanderingEarl.com in your promotional efforts, just send me an email after you sign up with e-Junkie and I’ll forward you the images you need. And finally, if you would like to use a different style of image or a specific style of banner or advertisement, please let me know and I’ll work with you to create something that matches your needs.
